The 1:1 Computer Learning System is a Web-based learning management system (LMS) designed to facilitate one-to-one computing in K-12 classrooms. The program equips teachers to quickly turn traditional classrooms into blended learning environments. Discovery based lessons, called Investigations, are easily prepared using the EasyPrep™ template. Investigations are assigned right from the teacher's classroom computer using the built-in AssignXpress™ program. Students complete the investigations at the computer using their Electronic Work Page and turn in their assignments online. Investigations are graded using the System's QUIXscore™ rapid assessment instrument. Scores are automatically uploaded to the individual teacher's built-in grade book, which is provided within the System. The program accommodates I-Pad learning, as well as learning with other tablet computers. The 1:1 Computer Learning System makes it easy for "low-tech" K-12 teachers to enrich their instruction with online learning strategies.
Locally prepared investigations can be shared with teachers anywhere in the 1:1 Computer Learning System through the National I-Trade Library. All Teachers in the System can enjoy free, instant access to an expansive selection of teacher-prepared investigations across all curriculum subjects and grade levels.
The 1:1 Computer Learning System requires no school server space and is paperless, offering the school significant savings in materials and additional technologies.
